Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union County names CMO
New Albany, Miss.-based Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union County has named H.F. Mason, M.D., chief medical officer. Mason also serves as the hospital’s chief of surgery and will continue his general surgery practice at Baptist Medical Group-New Albany Surgical Associates. His new role will focus on quality of care, patient satisfaction and operational efficiency for physician-driven services.
Fort Hamilton Hospital names president
Dayton, Ohio-based Kettering Health Network appointed Ron Connovich president of Fort Hamilton Hospital. He previously served as chief operating officer and chief financial officer for Greene Memorial Hospital in Xenia, Ohio, and Soin Medical Center in Beavercreek, Ohio.
Providence Portland Medical Center names COO
Providence Portland Medical Center has tapped Kendall Sawa as chief operating officer effective Nov. 5. Sawa currently serves as chief executive for Providence Seaside Hospital and North Coast Service Area. Prior to joining Providence, Sawa served nearly 20 years with PeaceHealth, a non-profit health system in Alaska, Washington and Oregon.
Hackensack University Medical Center names president
Hackensack Meridian Health has announced Mark Sparta has been named president of Hackensack University Medical Center in New Jersey. Sparta will continue with his current responsibilities as the executive vice president of population health for Hackensack Meridian Health network. Sparta assumes this role after serving as executive vice president, chief operating officer at Hackensack University Medical Center.
Butler Health System hires CFO
Michael Deitschmann joined Butler Health System in Pennsylvania Oct. 1 as chief financial officer. Deitschmann previously served more than 20 years at Mayo Clinic Florida Jacksonville.
SSM Health appoints president for home health, post-acute services
St. Louis-based SSM Health has named Bob Pritts as president of SSM Health at Home & Post-Acute Services, effective Sept. 10. Previously, Pritts served as CEO-Market Executive for SSM Health Rehabilitation Network, a joint venture partnership between Select Medical and SSM Health.
