Novant Health UVA Health System appoints CEO 

Manassas, Va.-based Novant Health UVA Health System has appointed Al Pilong Jr. senior vice president and CEO effective April 1. He currently serves as president of Munson Medical Center in Traverse City, Mich., a part of Munson Healthcare. 

North Country Healthcare names CEO

The Board of Trustees of North Country Healthcare, Littleton, N.H., has appointed Thomas Mee, R.N., CEO effective March 4. Most recently, he served as president and CEO of McLaren Greater Lansing in Flint, Mich., where he was recognized as Healthcare Leader of the Year in 2017 by the Michigan Health & Hospital Association.

South County Health names CEO

Wakefield, R.I.-based South County Health has named Aaron Robinson president and CEO effective April 1. Most recently, he served as CEO of community hospitals and system service line executive for heart and vascular services at Health First, Rockledge, Fla., an integrated health system. 

Valley Regional Healthcare names interim president and CEO

Valley Regional Healthcare, Claremont, N.H., has named Deanna Howard interim president and CEO. She replaces Peter Wright, who will leave the organization in March to become president of two hospitals that are part of Lewiston, Maine-based Central Maine Healthcare. Wright is a member of the AHA Board of Trustees. Howard previously was vice president of regional development for the Dartmouth-Hitchcock system.

BayCare Health System names VP of managed care

BayCare Health System, Clearwater, Fla., has named Donna Ghobadi vice president of managed care. She previously was vice president of managed care and revenue cycle at Baptist Healthcare System, Louisville, Ky.
