HCA Healthcare names senior vice president of government relations

Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare has named Jeff Cohen senior vice president, government relations, effective Oct. 1. He has spent the past 20 years working at the Federation of American Hospitals, most recently as executive vice president of public affairs. He will be replacing Vic Campbell, who will retire in February after 47 years of service to HCA Healthcare. 

HCA Midwest Health names new hospital CEO 

HCA Midwest Health has appointed Phil Buttell CEO of Overland Park, Kan.-based Menorah Medical Center. He has served as chief operating officer at Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence, Mo., since 2009.  

Kenmore Mercy Hospital selects VP of patient care services 

Kenmore (N.Y.) Mercy Hospital, part of Catholic Health, has named Heather Telford vice president of patient care services. She has worked for the hospital since 2008, first serving as nurse manager of the emergency department and more recently as director of nursing.
