Billings Clinic names CEO

Billings (Mont.) Clinic has named Scott Ellner, D.O., CEO effective in January. He currently serves as group president and CEO of Centura Health Physician Group in Colorado. 

Sentara appoints hospital president

Sentara Healthcare has named Phillip Jackson president of Sentara Albemarle Medical Center in Elizabeth City, N.C., effective Nov. 30. He most recently served as vice president at Erlanger Health System and CEO of both Erlanger East and Erlanger North hospitals in Chattanooga, Tenn. 

St. Joseph’s Health names COO

Syracuse, N.Y.-based St. Joseph’s Health has named Janet Ready chief operating officer. She has served as president of Penn Health Princeton Medical Center in Plainsboro, N.J., and senior vice president at Penn Health since 2014.  

Tenet Healthcare promotes COO

Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare has promoted Saum Sutaria, M.D., to president and COO. He became COO in January and before that worked for consulting firm McKinsey & Company.

University Hospital names health equity officer

University Hospital in Newark, N.J., has named Chris Pernell, M.D., chief strategic integration and health equity officer. She previously was program leader for the 1199SEIU/League Labor Management Initiatives Workplace and Community Health Program.
