Anthony Slonim, M.D., president and CEO of Renown Health in Reno, Nev., will serve as 2019 chair of the AHA's Section for Health Care Systems. Brian Donley, M.D., CEO of Cleveland Clinic London, United Kingdom, will serve as 2019 chair-elect. New council members for 2019 include: David Chernow, president and CEO of Select Medical Corporation in Mechanicsburg, Pa.; Lydia Jumonville, president and CEO of SCL Health in Broomfield, Colo.; Sarah Krevans, president and CEO of Sutter Health in Sacramento, Calif.; Jonathan Lewin, M.D., president, CEO and chairman of the board for Emory Healthcare in Atlanta; Charles Stokes, president and CEO of Memorial Hermann Health System in Houston; and Mark Sullivan, president and CEO of Catholic Health System in Buffalo, N.Y. These six new members join 19 other system executives on the Health Care Systems Council. The Section for Health Care Systems represents the AHA's health system members, which comprise approximately 65 percent of AHA hospitals, by participating in the AHA's advocacy, policy and resource development, with a particular focus on strategic opportunities.
