Eight Cities to Participate in SAMHSA-VA Suicide Prevention Initiative
The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration and Department of Veterans Affairs have selected eight cities to participate in the first year of a joint initiative to prevent suicide among service members, veterans and their families. City teams from Albuquerque, NM; Billings and Helena, MT; Richmond, VA; Houston; Las Vegas; Los Angeles and Phoenix will meet March 14-16 in Washington, D.C., to develop strategic action plans for their communities.
