AHRQ seeks comments on acute pain treatment resource
The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality is accepting comments through April 25 on a draft report on treatment for acute pain. The report provides an overview of current guidelines and systematic reviews on pharmacologic and nonpharmacologic treatments for acute pain, including opioids. The resource maps the current evidence on acute pain treatment for select conditions, including postoperative, dental, neck and back pain as well as renal colic, acute migraine and sickle cell crisis.
