Adam Boehler, founder and former CEO of home-based care company Landmark Health, will join the Department of Health and Human Services this week as deputy administrator and director of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Innovation, HHS Secretary Alex Azar announced Friday. Boehler also was a founder at Avalon Health Solutions, which provides laboratory benefit management services, and TrellisRx, a company that partners with health systems to operate specialty pharmacies, and an operating partner at private equity firm Francisco Partners. In addition, Azar named HHS Deputy General Counsel Heather Flick as acting assistant secretary for administration; Judy Stecker, former executive director of media relations and strategic marketing for the American Enterprise Institute, as HHS assistant secretary for public affairs; and Jeff Rosenberg, former executive vice president at Crosby Marketing Communications, as HHS principal deputy assistant secretary for public affairs.
