Joining the council in 2020 are: Tina Freese Decker, president and CEO of Spectrum Health, Grand Rapids, Mich.; Christopher Howard, president and CEO of Sharp HealthCare, San Diego; Laura Kaiser, president and CEO of SSM Health, St. Louis; Stephen Markovich, M.D., president and CEO of OhioHealth, Columbus; Timothy Pehrson, president and CEO of INTEGRIS Health, Oklahoma City; Dennis Pullin, president and CEO of Virtua Health, Marlton, N.J.; Michael Slubowski, president and CEO of Trinity Health, Livonia, Mich.; and Kevin Tabb, M.D., president and CEO of Beth Israel Lahey Health, Cambridge, Mass. The 26-member council represents AHA's health system members, comprising more than 67% of AHA hospitals, and participates in the AHA's advocacy, policy and resource development, with a particular focus on strategic opportunities.
