Study offers surgical guidelines for preventing CAUTI
A new study offers evidence-based guidelines for appropriate urinary catheter use in common surgeries to prevent complications. The study team included national project team partners from the On the CUSP: Stop CAUTI project, which developed a toolkit for reducing catheter-associated urinary tract infections in hospitals. AHA’s Health Research & Educational Trust affiliate was prime contractor for the On the CUSP project, funded by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality.
