Sue Ellen Wagner recently joined the AHA as vice president of trustee engagement and strategy, where she oversees the development of trustee education, tools and resources as part of AHA’s Field Engagement team. Wagner comes to AHA after more than 25 years with the Healthcare Association of New York State. She most recently served as executive director of HANYS’ Healthcare Trustees of New York State affiliate, where she was responsible for advocacy, communication and educational programming, including one of the nation’s largest trustee conferences. Wagner also served as HANYS vice president of community health, overseeing policy work related to community benefit and the state’s prevention agenda. She also is a board member at Cobleskill (N.Y.) Regional Hospital.
