Coalition to Protect America’s Health Care launches campaign on COVID-19 funding

The Coalition to Protect America’s Health Care, of which the AHA is a founding member, today launched a digital campaign urging 2.2 million members to encourage their lawmakers to include in the new emergency funding package funding for hospitals to protect the health care workforce and increase their capacity to treat patients. This includes funding for essential protective gear, child care for doctors and nurses’ children, and additional supplies to increase care capacity. “Many hospitals, including those in rural areas, were already stretched thin before coronavirus, and now they're preparing to shoulder the brunt of this unprecedented outbreak,” the campaign notes.
