Kevin Dahill will retire Dec. 31 as CEO and president of the Nassau-Suffolk Hospital Council and Northern Metropolitan Hospital Association (NorMet), part of the Healthcare Association of New York State and its Suburban Hospital Alliance.

Dahill has led NSHC since 2002 and NorMet since 2010, and has served the hospital field for more than 40 years, including senior leadership positions at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in New York City and as CEO of New York United Hospital Medical Center. He also has served on the AHA’s Regional Policy Board and the Conference of Metropolitan and Regional Hospital Associations.

“Kevin is a visionary and unparalleled leader in the healthcare sector,” said HANYS President Bea Grause. “His historical knowledge of New York’s healthcare delivery and reimbursement system has truly benefited every hospital system and hospital association he has served. He will be greatly missed.”

HANYS is searching for a successor.
