The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services has recalculated results for the calendar year 2013 Medicare spending per beneficiary measure after identifying an issue with data used in the calculation. Hospitals can review and correct their revised hospital-specific reports through Nov. 30, but may not submit additional corrections related to the underlying claims data or add new claims to the data used to calculate the rates. CY 2013 MSPB data were used in the performance period for the fiscal year 2015 Hospital Value-Based Purchasing Program, and will be used in the VBP baseline period for FY 2017. CMS does not plan to change the previously finalized payment adjustments for the FY 2015 Hospital Value-Based Purchasing Program. The FY 2017 VBP Baseline Measures Reports, including the revised MSPB measure results, will be updated and made available through the QualityNet secure portal.
