CMS issues tool to help nursing home staff evaluate their skills

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services yesterday released the first in a series of technical tools and assistance for nursing home professionals funded by federal civil money penalties. The “Building on a Culture of Quality” series will include staff competency assessment tools, instructional guides, training webinars and technical assistance seminars. The first toolkit is designed to help nursing home frontline and management staff evaluate their skills.
