Public and private entities can apply until July 6 at 3 p.m. ET for grants to help consumers enroll in health coverage for plan year 2022 in states with a federally facilitated health insurance marketplace, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services announced Friday. CMS in April announced plans to award a record $80 million in navigator grants for plan year 2022.

According to a report released Friday by the Department of Health and Human Services, 31 million Americans are enrolled in health coverage through the Affordable Care Act, including 11.3 million people in marketplace plans and 14.8 million adults with Medicaid coverage.
