Newest AHA poster focuses on culturally/racially aware language in mental health settings
The AHA has released its next People Matter, Words Matter poster, which can be downloaded, shared and hung in clinical, office or other care settings. The poster offers examples of language to use or avoid when discussing mental health treatment and diagnoses, and promotes cultural humility and stigma reduction. Click here for more posters and to learn more about the People Matter, Words Matter resource series. The AHA released additional resources for Minority Mental Health Awareness Month in July and continues to add resources on this important topic.
