The Health Resources and Services Administration has opened the portal for health care providers to apply through Oct. 26 for a portion of $25.5 billion in COVID-19 relief funds, the agency announced. Providers will submit a single application to request payments from both the $17 billion “Phase 4” Provider Relief Fund distribution and $8.5 billion in American Rescue Plan Act funds for rural providers.

On Sept. 30 at 3 p.m. ET, HRSA will host the first of four webinar sessions on the funding and how to navigate the application portal. Interested hospitals should register here to participate.

HRSA aims to begin distributing the ARPA funds in mid-to-late November and the PRF funds in early-to-mid December.
