Senate passes legislation to fund government through March 11
The Senate last night voted 65-27 to pass and send to the president a continuing resolution that would fund federal programs through March 11 to prevent a government shutdown when the current CR expires Feb. 18. The legislation also would extend through March 11 the current federal medical assistance percentage for certain territories, among other provisions. The president is expected to sign the CR, which the House passed Feb. 8. Congress has arrived at an agreement on overall funding levels for fiscal year 2022 and work is underway on the details of an omnibus funding bill.
