COVID-19 hospitalization up nearly 24% over the last month
The seven-day average of daily hospitalization due to COVID-19 is up nearly 24% over the previous month, according to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and state health departments. During the seven-day period ending over the July 4 holiday weekend, CDC reported nearly 30,000 hospitalizations, with Michigan, Maine and New Hampshire seeing the biggest spikes in cases.
