White House summit highlights state and local workforce models
The White House today held a summit highlighting American Rescue Plan Act investments in state and local workforce programs, including $9 billion to expand the Medicaid home and community based services workforce and $7 billion to strengthen the health and public health workforce during the COVID-19 pandemic and longer term. The event highlighted a Kansas program to help hospitals retain nurses and other healthcare workers, and an Erie County, N.Y., program to train students for high-demand healthcare careers.
