CDC reorganizes to better respond to COVID-19, other public health threats
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director Rochelle Walensky, M.D., has restructured the agency to better respond to COVID-19 and other public health threats, Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra announced today. The changes include a new Coronavirus and other Respiratory Viruses Division within the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases, which will work to prevent disease, disability and death through immunization and control of coronaviruses, respiratory and other related viral diseases.
