AHA Section for Maternal and Child Health names 2016 leaders
James Shmerling, president and CEO of Connecticut Children’s Medical Center in Hartford, will lead the AHA's Constituency Section for Maternal and Child Health as 2016 chair of its governing council. Patricia DePompei, R.N., president of University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital and MacDonald Woman’s Hospital in Cleveland, is this year’s chair-elect and will become chair in 2017. The constituency section supports hospital providers of women’s and children’s health services as they build systems of care to improve the health status of their communities.
