AHA urges congressional support of health care programs in FY 2025 appropriations
AHA urged leaders of the Senate and House Appropriations Subcommittees on Labor, Health and Human Services, and Education to give favorable funding consideration in fiscal year 2025 to health care programs shown to improve access to quality health care for patients and communities.
AHA requests funding for programs to increase, diversify and strengthen the health care workforce; strengthen substance use and mental health services; help children's hospitals train resident physicians; retain necessary health care programs in rural communities; help hospitals prepare for and respond to emergencies; improve maternal and child health; and eliminate health disparities and promote health equity.
