The AHA on May 2 will present Hospital Awards for Volunteer Excellence to four extraordinary hospital volunteer programs for their positive impact on patients, hospitals, health systems and communities. The honorees are: the “Doula Volunteer Program,” Sutter Davis (CA) Hospital/Sutter Health; “Community Care Network Health Coaches,” Winona (MN) Health; “Vettes to Vets,” Bedford (MA) Veterans Hospital/VA New England Healthcare System; and “Storycatcher Program,” Longmont (CO) United Hospital. The awards will be presented at the AHA Annual Membership Meeting May 1-4 in Washington, D.C. For more on the HAVE recipients, see the AHA news release.
