The Vermont Association of Hospitals and Health Systems yesterday named as its new President and CEO Jeffrey Tieman, currently chief of staff for the Catholic Health Association of the United States. Former VAHHS President and CEO Bea Grause was named president of the Healthcare Association of New York State this spring. "We have chosen a leader who we believe will bring a great deal of new energy to the association," said VAHHS Board Chair Thomas Dee. "Jeffrey Tieman's considerable experience at the forefront of national health care policy will be an asset as Vermont's hospitals work to chart a successful course through the challenges of health reform."
