Michigan hospital leader to receive AHA Rural Hospital Leadership Award
The AHA will present its 2016 Rural Hospital Leadership Award to Rodney Nelson, president and CEO of Mackinac Straits Health System in St. Ignace, MI, at its Rural Health Care Leadership Conference in February. AHA also will honor award finalists Warren West, CEO of Littleton (NH) Regional Healthcare, and Lon Butikofer, CEO of Regional Medical Center in Manchester, IA. The annual award recognizes small or rural hospital chief executives and administrators who have achieved improvements in local health delivery and health status through their leadership and direction.
