The QualityNet system has not yet been updated to reflect changes to electronic clinical quality measure reporting requirements for calendar year 2017 under the fiscal year 2018 inpatient prospective payment system final rule, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services reports. Released this month, the final rule decreased the number of eCQMs and calendar quarters for which hospitals must submit data. CMS will notify hospitals and vendors once the QualityNet system has been updated. Meanwhile, hospitals and vendors that have submitted eCQM data can generate a current copy of their eCQM submission status report to confirm whether the corresponding measure IDs were accepted. Once QualityNet has been updated, hospitals should regenerate and save the most recent eCQM submission status report for their records, CMS said. For more information, contact the QualityNet Help Desk at qnetsupport@hcqis.org or IQR support team at https://cms-ip.custhelp.com.
