The AHA today released a new educational resource to help hospital and health system leaders with their efforts to reduce health disparities in their communities. The resource highlights how best to use the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ Mapping Medicare Disparities tool to help identify where disparities exist and use the data to inform strategies to address the disparities. It also includes AHA resources to help advance health equity and reduce disparities, including an issue brief from the AHA’s Value Initiative on connecting the dots between value and health equity.
