Telling the Hospital Story: LCMC Health System opens dedicated first responder clinic

University Medical Center New Orleans has launched a dedicated first responder clinic to provide expedited, specialized care for the city’s emergency personnel, including police, fire, EMS and communications staff. The clinic offers preventive services, chronic condition management and fast-track access to care tailored to the demanding schedules of first responders. “Our first responders are the backbone of public safety and emergency response in our city,” said Charlotte Parent, vice president of business development at UMC. “It’s our civic duty to ensure they have access to the care they need, when they need it.”

The clinic offers appointment slots reserved up to seven days in advance and streamlined coordination for referrals and follow-ups.
