Ascension Wisconsin hospitals partner with hospital association to promote future workforce

Ascension Elmbrook Hospital and Ascension St. Elizabeth Hospital have partnered with the Wisconsin Hospital Association (WHA) Foundation to support the creation of HOSA - Future Health Professionals chapters at local schools, strengthening the pipeline of health care workers in Wisconsin.

HOSA is a global student-led organization that promotes career opportunities in the health industry and works to improve the delivery of quality health care.

Each hospital committed funding to match WHA Foundation grants, providing essential resources for student participation, leadership development and hands on exposure to health careers. “Supporting HOSA is a great way to provide students with opportunities to develop leadership skills and gain real world experience in health care settings,” said Kurt Schley, president of Ascension Elmbrook Hospital.

“By helping to nurture and educate future healthcare professionals, we are helping to ensure the long term sustainability and quality of healthcare in our community,” said Mike Bergmann, president of Ascension St. Elizabeth Hospital.
