Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED), The Christ Hospital Health Network and Miami University have partnered to strengthen medical education, clinical training and health care access across Ohio. The collaboration seeks to create new pathways for students to pursue medical careers while remaining in Ohio. NEOMED will expand clinical rotation opportunities for its medical students at The Christ Hospital Health Network in southwest Ohio beginning in July 2026, while Miami University will work with NEOMED to establish an early assurance program for undergraduates interested in medical school. “NEOMED’s partnerships with The Christ Hospital and Miami University represents a pivotal development that will change the landscape of patient care in Ohio by giving our medical students more opportunities to connect with and serve communities across the state,” said John Langell, M.D., president of NEOMED.
The Christ Hospital Health Network will play a key role by offering hands on clinical experiences that prepare students for real world medical practice and encouraging them to build careers in the region. “This is an investment not just in our medical students but the health of our community for decades into the future,” said Debbie Hayes, president and CEO of The Christ Hospital Health Network.
