Wisconsin hospital’s Blanket of Love program expectant parents thrive
Ascension SE Wisconsin Hospital — St. Joseph
Pennsylvania

More than two decades after its launch, Ascension Wisconsin’s Blanket of Love program continues to help families thrive by providing expectant parents with access to critical health, education and community resources. The most recent event welcomed more than 100 mothers and families, presenting them with gift bags, baby supplies, educational resources and representatives from more than 20 community organizations. Designed to help families access support early, the program brought together healthcare providers and community partners to ensure new parents have the tools they need for a healthy start.
Founded in 2004, Ascension Wisconsin’s Blanket of Love program provides education and social support for expectant mothers and their families, helping reduce infant mortality and promote family wellness. The program has expanded to 16 sites across Wisconsin, with 36 church partners helping connect more than 5,000 families each year to healthcare, educational and social resources.
