Patient interactions with their physicians are changing at every step along the health care journey — from pre-visit interactions to waiting rooms, exam rooms and even back-office conversations. Content that educates patients and improves overall experience with their physicians is foundational to evolving the patient journey.  

How providers leverage digital health technologies at key moments of care can have a significant impact on how consumers view their health care providers and the level of trust they place in them.  

Patients are aware of how rapidly their options are expanding when it comes to obtaining information about all aspects of their care and who will be delivering it. So, it behooves all providers to be proactive in leading conversations with their patients wherever that communication takes place.

This Leadership Scan episode will explore the opportunities, value and business-line implications for optimizing the patient experience and how to leverage education via digital technologies to engage consumers better throughout their health care journeys.
