Monday, December 15, 2014 On behalf of the American Hospital Association (AHA) Sections for Maternal and Child Health and Psychiatric and Substance Abuse Services, we invite you to join us as we explore two unique models of care for the early identification and treatment of pregnant substance abusing women. Each hospital – one a women's and children's hospital and the other a psychiatric facility – have made a commitment to improve the experiences and outcomes for women of all socioeconomic status who are pregnant and have a substance abuse disorder.  

Angela L. Scioscia, M.D., chief medical officer (CMO) at the University of California (UC) San Diego Health System, is the 2014 chair of the American Hospital Association's (AHA) Section for Maternal and Child Health Governing Council.

Patricia A. Warner, executive director of the University of Michigan C.S. Mott Children's and Von Voigtlander Women's Hospitals in Ann Arbor, Mich. is the 2012 chair of the American Hospital Association's Section for Maternal and Child Health.
