Open enrollment in the federally-facilitated Health Insurance Marketplace concluded Sunday, but those who tried to enroll for the first time and couldn’t finish may have until Feb. 22 to get coverage, according to a blog post yesterday at HealthCare.gov. To qualify, the applicant must attest that they didn’t complete their enrollment by Feb. 15 because of longer than normal wait times at the Marketplace Call Center on Feb. 13-15, or a technical issue on HealthCare.gov. “If you are already enrolled in a plan through the Marketplace, you can’t switch to a different plan now unless you have recently experienced a life change that grants a Special Enrollment Period,” the blog states.
