The Department of Health and Human Services, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and National Institutes of Health will host a conference Aug. 10-11 in New York on translating Hurricane Sandy research into practice. The agencies funded a series of research grants that examine long-term recovery of health systems and communities in areas of the country hard hit by the 2012 storm. As the projects near completion, the conference will share the findings and discuss next steps for translating them into public health policy and practice.
