The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices has updated its recommendations for flu vaccination for the 2015-2016 flu season. The recommendations remove the preference for live attenuated influenza vaccine for healthy children aged 2-8, and update the algorithm for determining the appropriate number of doses for children 6 months to 8 years old, among other information.
