Employment at the nation's hospitals rose by 0.12% in February to a seasonally adjusted 5,085,000 people, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today. That's 6,300 more people than in January and 104,000 more than a year ago. Without the seasonal adjustment, which removes the effect of fluctuations due to seasonal events, hospitals employed 5,077,700 people in February – 9,000 more than in January and 103,800 more than a year ago. The nation's overall unemployment rate fell by 0.1 percentage point in February to 4.7%.
