The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services has further extended to Jan. 2, 2018 the deadline for hospitals to amend their Medicare Cost Report Worksheet S-10s from fiscal years 2014 and 2015. The new data will not be used to calculate Medicare disproportionate share payments for FY 2018, but will be available for use in future years. CMS expects worksheets received by Dec. 2, 2017 to be reflected in the proposed rules for FY 2019 and worksheets received by Jan. 2, 2018 to be reflected in the final rules for FY 2019. Earlier this month, CMS released additional changes to the worksheet instructions.
