The White House today hosted a summit on administration efforts to combat the opioid crisis. According to a White House factsheet, participants included individuals who have been affected by the opioid crisis and addiction- and recovery-focused organizations. Members of the administration reviewed actions their departments and agencies have taken to address drug addiction and opioid abuse through prevention, treatment and recovery, and law enforcement and interdiction.
