House Democratic Caucus Chairman Joseph Crowley (D-NY) will speak at the AHA Annual Membership Meeting on May 7 in Washington, D.C. Crowley serves on the House Committee on Ways and Means. He also introduced the AHA-supported Resident Physician Shortage Reduction Act (H.R. 2267), which would add 15,000 Medicare-funded residency positions to alleviate physician shortages that threaten patients’ access to care.
