AHA’s Molly Smith discusses reducing costs, expanding coverage at Atlantic Festival panel.
Molly Smith, AHA vice president for coverage and state issues forum, today participated in a panel discussion on reducing health care costs in the U.S. health care system without sacrificing quality, as part of The Atlantic Festival’s virtual event. Smith discussed bringing health care costs down, improving and expanding access to health coverage, and how hospitals and health systems are responding to the COVID-19 pandemic. Georges Benjamin, executive director of the American Public Health Association, and Matt Eyles, president and CEO of America's Health Insurance Plans also participated on the panel.
