Congress funds government through Dec. 18
The Senate today passed by voice vote a continuing resolution that generally extends current federal funding levels for health care and all other programs through Dec. 18, preventing a government shutdown when fiscal year 2020 funding expires tonight. The House passed the legislation earlier this week. The bill also delays through Dec. 18 the start of $4 billion in fiscal year 2021 Medicaid disproportionate share hospital cuts.
