Nationwide COVID-19 memorial on Jan. 19 as part of Biden inauguration activities
President-elect Biden is planning to host a memorial to remember and honor the lives lost to COVID-19 on Tuesday, Jan. 19 — the night before he is inaugurated president. A Washington, D.C., ceremony will feature a lighting around the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool, and cities and towns are invited to illuminate buildings and ring church bells at 5:30 p.m. ET that day as part of a national moment of unity and remembrance.
