ASPR releases planning tool for COVID-19 monoclonal antibody infusion sites

The Department of Health and Human Services’ Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response yesterday released an online calculator to help clinicians and health care facilities increase their capacity to administer monoclonal antibodies to patients with mild or moderate COVID-19 who are at risk for progressing to severe disease and hospitalization.
“While vaccines are playing a vital role in driving down cases, monoclonal antibodies continue to be critical tool for improving outcomes for people who become infected with SARS-COV-2,” said ASPR Chief Medical Officer John Redd, M.D. “Clinicians in every community need to be ready to identify, refer, and treat high-risk patients, and this calculator can help.”
