AHA participates in federal roundtable on health sector cybersecurity

The Department of Health and Human Services and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency Oct. 25 hosted a roundtable discussion with health care cybersecurity leaders, including the AHA, on the state of cybersecurity in the health care and public health sector. HHS Deputy Secretary Andrea Palm and CISA Deputy Director Nitin Natarajan participated in the discussion, which focused on how cyberattacks are impacting the sector and how the government can collaborate with the sector to better respond to these threats, including any special concerns for small and rural hospitals.
