AHA presents variety of awards recognizing leaders across the health care field

During its Annual Membership Meeting today in Washington, D.C., the AHA honored several health care leaders including:

  • Award for Excellence to Patricia Hastings, chief consultant and executive director for Health Outcomes of Military Exposures, Department of Veterans Affairs.
  • Special Achievement Award to Trina Morrisette, chief of information management, Defense Health Agency, Hearing Center for Excellence.
  • 2025 Distinguished Service Award to Mindy Estes, M.D., former president and CEO, Saint Luke’s Health System.
  • 2025 Distinguished Service Award to Rod Hochman, M.D., former president and CEO, Providence Health & Services.
  • Board of Trustees Award to Phyllis Cowling, former president and CEO, United Regional Health Care System.
  • Board of Trustees Award to Ron Werft, former president and CEO, Cottage Health.
  • Award of Honor to Mary Beth Kingston, Ph.D., former chief nursing officer, Advocate Health.
  • 2025 Justin Ford Kimball Innovators Award to Jim Leonard, M.D., president and CEO, Carle Health.
