The AHA’s advocacy agenda and leadership resources are designed to help you manage the many issues that are important to you now, and will be increasingly important down the road.

Our advocacy agenda is rooted in the challenges you face every day in providing quality care to your patients. It takes center stage at the AHA’s Annual Membership Meeting, May 7-10 in Washington, D.C.

This year’s theme, “Advancing Health in America,” highlights how hospitals and health systems are redefining what it means to provide care. They are working not just to mend bodies, but also to help people and communities become healthier by investing in basic social and personal needs. They are building a continuum of care that rewards value over volume, and requires hospitals, physicians and other caregivers to work more closely together than ever to control costs and increase quality.

The annual meeting is your opportunity to take part in enlightening sessions on key health care topics, meet with health care leaders from around the country and hear from political insiders, as well as earn ACHE credits. You will come away with the information and context you need to advocate more effectively on behalf of both your hospital or health system and the field as a whole.
