Blunt urges hospital leaders to share their concerns with lawmakers
Addressing the AHA Annual Membership Meeting today, Sen. Roy Blunt, R-Mo., chairman of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services, and Education, told attendees “what you do to help families get through real health challenges … makes a big difference … so I want to be helpful to you in that effort.” He encouraged hospital and health system leaders visiting their lawmakers on Capitol Hill to “do your best to be sure we understand the real problems you face,” and that “we don’t come up with a solution that makes the problem worse” rather than better.
